1st Annual Bass & Bucks Tournament
Lake Belton, March 22, 2003 The First Annual Bass & Bucks tournament was held on Lake Belton, March 22, 2003, with thirty-five teams competing for over $2400 in cash. First Place went to Keith Combs, with 5 fish weighing in at 18.76 pounds. Team #8, Chris Tatum and Thomas Wells, brought in 5 fish weighing 17.88 pounds for Second Place. CTBA members Charles Taylor and Gerry Ransom caught 4 fish weighing 16.30 pounds to capture Third Place. The First Place Big Bass went to Charles Taylor with a beautiful 8.55 pound Largemouth. The Second Place Big Bass was awarded to Ronald Yeatts, who presented a nice 7.71 pound Lake Belton Bass. In all, 97 bass were caught weighing 239 pounds.
